FROM A HYPNOTHERAPIST'S DIARY
10am My first appointment of the day is with Jenny (aged 7) who comes to see me with her mum Samantha. Jenny needs help with bed wetting which causes her a problem when she is stressed. As she recently went up to junior school she wets the bed before most school days.
Session goes well as children are nearly always easy to hypnotise - Jenny was a dream. I have asked mum to bring her back next week but I think the prognosis is good.
11.30am I am seeing Anita for pain relief and weight control. She is a client I have seen many times over the years as she suffers with chronic back pain. When Anita's weight goes up it puts extra pressure on her delicate spine. Hypnotherapy and NLP always work wonders for Anita.
12 noon - break for lunch and time to catch up with the answer machine and the e-mails.
2pm I am seeing Robert - a new client to help him quit smoking - this may take one session if he is just a habit smoker but if he is a compulsive smoker he will need more sessions.
3.30pm Maria is coming for a further session of regression therapy to help resolve traumas from her childhood. Her sessions are going well and she reported that already she feels much more confident and able to cope. It is great see her change week by week.
5pm Time to stop and catch up with my paper work then have dinner before my evening clients.
7.30pm. Today is my weight loss clinic and I am seeing two sisters Sharon and Michelle. They are losing weight well and are able to keep each other motivated - this helps a lot as motivation is everything with weight loss clients.
